Dear Honorable Chairs, Fellow Delegates, and Esteemed Guests,
Welcome! I’m Steven Zhang, a QISS senior and your Secretary-General. My MUN journey has passed five years - from delegate to chair to planner - and I am honored to welcome you to our great QISSMUN conference in April.
MUN is a place where students can share their ideas, exchange thoughts, and debate current world issues. We hope every participant here can gain more experience in debating and communication. In QISSMUN 2026, we highly encourage everyone to stand up and develop together, finding their sense of talking and feeling comfortable to share out.
This year, we are going to be more focused on what’s happening close to students, offering opportunities for students to self-reflect on their learning environment and education. We hope every participant in QISSMUN can get involved easily. For young members of MUN, there is no need to feel stress, and I understand your probable anxiety. Just remember that every idea you’ve shared, POI you’ve raised, and passed amendment will contribute to the success of the conference and turn into your effort in the future.
Let QISSMUN 2026 be your platform to grow, to communicate, and to collaborate. I sincerely wish you all an inspiring and rewarding conference.
I look forward to seeing you on the committee.
Sincerely,
Steven Zhang
Secretary-General, QISSMUN 2026
